The fluid motion of the wood grain evokes the gentle flow of water, guiding the movement and rhythm within the painting. The dark brown burls add depth, drawing the eye to different areas of the piece. When choosing a title, I wanted it to reflect the movement and ever-changing nature of water. An eddy—a swirl or deviation in the flow—symbolizes how possibilities are constantly shifting. It serves as a reminder to embrace the moments that feel right, capturing the energy and direction that speaks to us in the present.
